Online poker has become globally celebrated as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its television scores. Over the years many variations on the original poker game have been developed, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the dealer instead of each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up just before the croupier saying "No further bets." At that point, both you and the casino and of course all of the other players receive 5 cards each. After you have observed your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you must either make a call bet or accede. The call bet’s value is akin to your beginning ante, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Giving Up means that your ante goes directly to the bank. After the bet is the conclusion. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, including a sum on par with the original wager. If the house does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The dealer pays chips equal to your bet and controlled odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
