Internet poker has become globally acclaimed recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years many variations on the first poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with 21 than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the bank instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no conniving or different types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the dealer declares "No more bets." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers acquire 5 cards each. After you have seen your hand and the dealer’s first card, you have to in turn make a call bet or accede. The call bet’s value is on same level to your original ante, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your bet goes directly to the house. After the wager comes the showdown. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, including a figure in accordance with the ante. If the bank does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The bank pays cash equal to your bet and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
