Annie Duke might not have won her first WSOP Bracelet until two thousand and four but she is one of the most powerful poker competitors around the ring games at The Bellagio in Vegas. Annie’s long-overdue WSOP bracelet came with success at the "forgotten game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.

While competitors from the "young crowd" of poker run wild following a huge win at the tables, Annie goes home to be "mommy" to her 4 children. She hails from New Hampshire and grew up in a family of poker players. If you don’t believe that, have a look at her sibling, Howard Lederer, when he plays, who taught Annie the correct way to compete in the game.

However, Annie Duke is not a small fry kind of girl and has earned her share of challenging matches, including eliminating Howard along the way on numerous occasions.

Winning well over three million dollars in tournament play, Annie branched out to become a consultant to both UltimateBet.com and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who wished to build up his techniques to become a power player in poker.

You might just run into her at the Bellagio, you’ll see her on television and you might even play with her in a net poker match, but do not count on a simple win. Unless you’re a up and coming master, you will not beat her. However, it is likely to be cool to say you played at the same table as "The Duke".
