Double-hand Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the western in an excellent game for beginner level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player against the croupier, unlike nearly all other poker games that players wager against other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginning players do not have to be concerned about other, more knowledgeable individuals taking their money.

One more Pai Gow advantage is the generally slow game play, newcomers should be able to take their time and strategize while not needing to make frenzied decisions.

It is also much simpler to wager on for a very long time with only a tiny bit of money since, to not win, each of your hands must be lower than each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The gambler is assigned seven cards face up and the house gets 7 cards face down.

A five card hand and one two card hand have to be made from the 7 cards, the five card hand has to be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the dealer’s.
